Health education families actually use

Learn with Ruro creates evidence informed, non-judgemental health education resources for children and their families. We work with family hubs, schools, public health teams and community partners to turn public health priorities such as healthy eating, physical activity and sustainable habits into activities families do together, at home.

We're not a clinical weight management service, and we don't do diet culture. Our resources are built to start the conversations on health at home.

Who we are

Learn with Ruro is founder led by a UK-registered pharmacist with a health coaching diploma and experience across community pharmacy, GP practice and the pharmaceutical industry, including work relating to diabetes and obesity. That background shapes everything we make: resources that are accurate, age-appropriate, and grounded in how families actually change habits.

What we offer

Take-home family activity packs Ready-to-use packs; conversation cards, activity workbooks, habit trackers that attach to a session you're already running. No extra staffing or session time needed from you.

Resource licensing Ongoing access to our resource library for Family Hubs, schools and community organisations.

Facilitated family programmes A structured, multi-session group programme for families, built from our core resources.

Bespoke programmes Every hub, school and community looks different; we can adapt content, format and length to fit your setting and the needs of your families.

Our approach

  • Evidence-informed, not fear-based.
  • No weight talk with children; we focus on confidence, habits and knowledge, never weight, BMI or calorie counting.
  • Built for real families; low-cost-to-run activities that fit around family life.
  • Accessible by design.

We take data protection and child safeguarding seriously in every partnership, however small.
